Life and death are a cycle.
 
I discovered this through my own near death. For 10 years I was ill, bed bound, at times in a wheelchair, always in excruitiating pain. I watched as life ebbed from my body. Viral meningitis released trapped memories of childhood abuse, and I received this vision.
 
I saw my lifeless body breaking down beneath the earth, and I prepared to die. Then I noticed light in my stomach, pushing me upwards. New growth, sprouting from decay.
 
I finally understood the old me was dying, but that I was being reborn into something new.
 
Our human form is transient, but we are eternal souls. All the pain was actually compost for soul growth. The darkness ultimately brought me the greatest light.
